Do + Don’t with Art / Frames
A good frame can enhance any artwork - bring out colors or forms from within the piece. It can change the tone of a work from just ok to super chic. However, when installing art in a home, I don’t obsess over its frame.

Lunar New Year Rituals
Lunar New Year for my Taiwanese family is about returning home, spending time with my family and feasting. We bow to our elders and receive red envelopes filled with $$$. We eat noodles for long life, fish for abundance, dumplings for prosperity, and a special green vegetable. My Hakka family makes tang yuan soup to symbolize a ‘full’ life.

Water in the Winter
In feng shui, water qualities are clear and deep, restorative and quiet, reflectful and insightful. We use black, wavy lines to guide us through Yin energy-it’s a quiet feeling. With reflection, we look deeply into our path and in life and focus on it.

Fire in the Home
In a recent feng shui session, my client wanted to create a more inviting space where she could host her family and friends for dinner. We revamped this beautiful Brooklyn brownstone dining room to add the FIRE element which was in their Fame & Recognition area of the home.

Do + Don’t with Art
No matter what style of art it is, it is exciting to fill your walls with things you adore and love to look at. This brings character to where you live and gives visual references to your style and personality.

Metal Element for the Fall Season
The element of metal relates to the fall season. Fall to me is refocusing after the summer, preparing for a new school year for my kids and getting my home in order. Metal manifests as clarity, precision, simplicity, joy, and integrity. I love the idea of simplifying by reducing clutter, finding clarity in creating structure for a new rhythm/schedule and weaving in moments of joy in my life.

I am delighted to share my story and offer new services that combine my love of feng shui and art. My practice involves both practical advice and a whimsical modality. Together I hope to offer a refreshing spin on how to approach balanced living in our modern society.

Feng Shui Cards: Summer
In feng shui, summer is the height of Yang energy. This season’s attributes are bright, warm, and full of expanding energy. These refreshing summer images help me keep it light and focus back in the areas of my life that do matter. They serve as an offering for you to do the same.

Curated Images for Feng Shui
One of the things I love to do most with my work partner and friend, Lizanne Merrill, is to curate images. We make beautiful art books for private collectors - telling their story and photographing it within their stunning homes. Curating is an intuitive and energizing process for us both. The cards we create together are the perfect mix of art, collaboration, intuition and magic.

The Feng Shui Grid
For me, the feng shui grid is a map that creates order and provides a structured approach to analyzing a home. It offers a fresh way to view one’s life and often helps us identify ways in which we can improve our space and have it support goals in different areas of our lives.

The 5 Elements
Quite simply, feng shui utilizes the five elements in nature: EARTH, WATER, FIRE, WOOD, + METAL. We all embody certain qualities in these elements. I am Earth, Water, and Fire. At the core, I am grounded and am the support for many people around me (Earth). Where I show vulnerability, I can be indecisive and wishy washy (Water). At work and in social situations, I can present as dynamic and outgoing (Fire).
